Delete your account

1. In the app

1. While signed in, open Settings (or Account) and tap Delete account.
2. Read what will be deleted and confirm.
3. The account is deleted right away, you are signed out, and the app shows that your account was deleted.

Signed-in on the web? Open Account.

2. By email

If you cannot sign in, email hamza.diaz@optijara.ai from the email address of the Google or Apple account you used (for Apple, the relay address if you chose one), with your handle. We confirm the request with you, delete the account, and reply when it is done, within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

• your profile: handle, display name, bio, avatar pattern, privacy choices and account-age eligibility confirmation;
• your sign-in link and your Firebase Authentication user record (the name, email address and picture link Google or Apple shared);
• your shares, follows and follow requests (both ways) and your blocks (both ways);
• circles you started, with all their memberships, and your memberships in other circles;
• your recorded reading (khatm progress, weekly counts, credited reading time) and reading session;
• your saved reading position, history, saved ayahs, notes, daily target, counters and personal settings stored under your account.

You disappear from the leaderboard, circles, profiles and feeds immediately.

4. What is kept

• Reports you filed stay as moderation history, no longer linked to you, with your note erased.
• Reports others filed about your account, shares or circles are closed and kept with the snapshot of what was reported, with moderation decisions, as safety records.
• Google may keep copies in its systems for a limited time under its own practices.
• Only non-personal app preferences and the signed-out reader resume position may remain on a device. Your Google or Apple account itself is not affected.

5. Sign in with Apple

For an account linked to Sign in with Apple, deletion also asks Apple to revoke Ayaverse’s Apple tokens, using the authorization captured at sign-in and held privately on our server, where Apple revocation is configured. No additional sign-in is required. Deletion completes either way, and you can always remove Ayaverse yourself in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.

6. Timing and confirmation

In-app deletion happens as soon as you confirm, and the app confirms it on screen. Email requests are completed within 30 days and confirmed by reply. See also the Privacy Policy.
