Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement (end-user licence) between you and Optijara AI LLC, United Arab Emirates, for the Ayaverse app and website. By using Ayaverse you accept them.
1. The service
Ayaverse is free. It shows Quran text, tafsir, a translation, adhkar and hadith from the sources listed in Sources, with optional accounts for following people, sharing app-provided references, reading circles and a leaderboard of recorded reading. There are no ads, purchases or subscriptions. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
2. Who may use it
Everyone, children included, may read and listen without an account. Accounts and community features are for ages 13 and up, or the minimum age in your country. Get permission from a parent or guardian where local law requires it, including where a higher age of consent applies (up to 16 in some EU countries). We ask a neutral age question when you create a profile and store only an eligibility flag and confirmation time, never your birth date. You may not create an account if we have suspended you before.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or, where the app offers it, with Apple, and choose a handle, display name and optional bio. Keep that account secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can request a copy, change or delete it at any time.
4. Religious content, sources and attribution
- Quran text, tafsir, translation, adhkar and hadith are imported from pinned sources and shown as published, with their licences and attribution on the Sources page. Their rights belong to their owners and their own terms apply; do not copy them out of the app in ways their licences do not allow.
- Ayaverse runs machine integrity checks on this content. These checks are not scholarly certification, and Ayaverse gives no religious rulings or advice. For religious questions, consult qualified scholars.
- Reading counts and khatms are recorded on-screen reading activity, never a measure of worship, understanding or reward.
- Treat sacred text and other people’s faith with respect.
5. Acceptable use: zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In your handle, name, bio, circle names and descriptions, reports, and anywhere else in Ayaverse, you must not:
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone, or encourage violence;
- post hateful, discriminatory or slurring language about anyone’s religion, ethnicity, nationality, sex, disability or other characteristics;
- post sexual, pornographic or obscene content, or anything that sexualises or endangers children;
- mock or deliberately distort the Quran, hadith or anyone’s faith, or make misleading religious claims;
- impersonate a person, scholar or organisation, or Ayaverse or Optijara;
- spam, abuse reports, scrape the service, attempt to break its security or rate limits, or use it for anything illegal.
A word filter refuses names, bios and circle details containing listed offensive terms; it cannot catch everything, and these rules apply regardless.
6. Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can Report a share, a profile, a circle, a circle member or a leaderboard row, and Block any person, from the menu next to them or on their profile. Blocking hides you from each other while signed in (feed, profiles, circles and the leaderboard), removes follows between you, and removes each of you from the circles the other started. Unblocking does not restore follows or memberships: either of you can follow or join again (invite-only circles need a current invite). Reports go to our moderation queue and the reported person is not told who reported.
Our commitment: we review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, removing the content and suspending the account of the user who provided it where it breaks these terms. Moderators can remove shares and circles, reset a profile’s name and bio, and suspend accounts, which ends their sessions and hides them. Contact us any time at hamza.diaz@optijara.ai.
7. The words you choose
You keep ownership of the handle, name, bio and circle details you write, and you let us store and display them in Ayaverse to provide the service. Shares are references to app content and add no words of yours.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Ayaverse and delete your account at any time (how). We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put others at risk, and we may stop offering the service.
9. Disclaimer
Ayaverse is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation. Content and counts may contain errors; keep your own copies of anything important.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Optijara AI LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for content other users write. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
12. App stores
If you use Ayaverse from the App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or its content; Optijara AI LLC is. You must also follow the store’s own terms.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will show the new effective date here and give notice before a material change applies. Contact: Optijara AI LLC, United Arab Emirates, hamza.diaz@optijara.ai.
